Hey,
When I try to connect to games on my pc I start up my game and look for the online servers to join. None come up when I have my firewall enabled. All of my programs are set to "allowed" so you would think the servers would show up, wouldn't you?
When I turn my firewall off all of the game servers come up and everything is how it should be!
I phoned up Virgin Media and some charming assistant with a middle eastern accent told me that I should "uninstall it and reinstall it and it should work". Somehow I think that will not fix the problem but just waste more of my time.
Anyone got any solutions that they can hand out to a fellow PC gamer? I miss CSS ![]()

have you tried that, since its also advisable to remove all items from the firewall then re-allow them access.

I haven't tried that yet no. I will do it when I have a virgin media operative on the phone.
How do I remove all items from the firewall?

if you open the security program goto firewall and then in internet access rules, i think that is, but since i dont have the program in front of me ![]()

I removed all of the programs from the firewall but the problem still persists with the games that I wish to play online.

Just to say, I tried re-installing and got an "unexpected error". Rang them up and nothing worked, got put through to the "expert" virgin media security personel and still nothing worked. THey even recommended different software... AVG - which i'm now using.
Virgin Media Security is a useless service for gaming and it's absolutely inadequate. Thank you for nothing.
