My was dire last night, real nightmare. Quite possibly the worst I have had so far when not host and when host it was not good either. I gave up after 3 games as it was to bad to play. I then went on youtube, that was pants too.
I checked my speeds and posted the test results on the happenings thread. The stats look fine. But it wasn't.

peachy - are you using a thinkbroadband ping monitor? that would be useful for you, giving a 24/7 ping and jitter monitor

poeple talken about ping's etc dont bother just have to wait till they sort it there end as normal. with the lead up to MW3 if it happens again after this time i am shippen out to BT or some one. after all i only want Upload speed to again host

with the current issues with the peer to peer management and the routing issues with linx you might as well go with another ISP

@ craig - Not bothered with that one as I have always assumed my stats were spot on. The speedtest ones seem less accurate, but they are very consistant. I have not done too many pingtest ones, but the do fluctuate slightly. The are generally spot on so I have not bothered. I tend to think that my issue is not something that will show up on a test. The issue, imho, lies with the provider, not my general connection. My Black Ops sessions through the day have actually been night and day different to the evening sessions.

there is a test called glasnost which may be what you want, it measures your connection over HTTP, then over P2P and tells you if your ISP are throttling p2p

it takes about 5 minutes to run, you could try running it in the management period, then outside the management, obviously the results will be pretty different

Just popped on to the site and it looks interesting. Did you try it?

Notice my post about how I have a far better gaming experience since moving from VM to BTI has been removed!!

Yep, I posted it around an hour ago. Basically everything is quicker/smoother. BOPS is not perfect when host because of Treyarch's "host compensation lag", but its miles better than I was getting on VM. The biggest difference though seems to be Youtube esp during "peak" hours. No stuttering at all on 1080p, even when the wife is watvhing iPlayer HD at the same time.
