fibre optic in my area ts17

hi, I live in the ts17 area and for the past 9 years i've had to endure my internet through a BT phone line...........yes it's CRAP! I would like to know if VM will be installing their cables in the near future, don't know how much longer i can tolerate these abysmal speeds!! Any information is greatly appreciated, many thanks..........

Re: fibre optic in my area ts17

It is wryly ironic. We get so many people coming here to have a good moan about VM and then we get a nice post like this wanting VM services. I'm going to disappoint. VM never disclose their future plans on this Forum or elsewhere in public unless and until they are ready to go live.

The best you can do is register here:

and keep your fingers crossed. You'll need a lot of patience.

I do not work for VM. The advice I give is based on my best understanding of VM policy and practice. You rely on it at your own risk.

Just to add to what Howard said, try and recruit as many neighbours as possible to use the Cable My Street facility as well.  That way Virgin Media know it is a financially viable area to cable.
