Questions about your favourite V shows.

In the past I used to love certain TV shows, but lately I have to question the premise of some of them.

Here are a few questions.

Space 1999 - Just how did the Moon avoid being pulverised by the force of an explosion large enough to throw it out of the Solar System?

Thunderbirds - Would Thunderbird 2 really fly in real life?

Captain Scarlett - Were the Mysterons justified in their attacks on Earth, given that we initially made an unprovoked attack on them?

Edit - And one from what still is one of my favourite films of all time.

Fantastic Voyage - how did Benes survive, given that the wreck of the Proteus, although having been digested by the white cell, would have de-miniaturised after 60 minutes? (Note - Isaac Asimov addressed this in the novelization of the screenplay by having the crew get the white blood cell to chase them, but this wasn't in the original screenplay).

While I know suspension of disbelief is important when watching film and TV, I would like to ask, do you have any similar questions about your favourite shows?

Tim

Yesterday's Sci-fi is tomorrows science

I enjoyed watching Prometheus and Earth the final conflict  yesterday

Question: Would Thunderbird 2 really fly in real life?

Answer:  Unlikely unless it was a drone

Off topic, but if you want to start a thread asking that - feel free, the quick answer though - America really did land on the moon, if you believe otherwise then you might as well also join the ranks of those who believe the Earth is flat.
