Damaged Cabinet Box

Hi

I have reported a number of times using VM on-line form and when I see an engineer working on the cabinet that it needs to be repaired.

It was damaged sometime ago by Skanska when they installed new street lighting. As you can see from the pictures the doors donot close leaving it open for anyone to tamper with the cables inside. It is also open to rain which will impact our services from VM

Can you please please have this addressed - I work from home and cannot afford for my broadband to go down.

Re: Damaged Cabinet Box

Hi Auletta77

Many thanks for the pictures and the cabinet ID and thanks too for letting us know about the issues with the cabinet.

In order for us to log this with the teams it would be great if you could get back to me on a private message with your name, address and preferred contact number.

To PM me, simply:

  • Click on my profile link Karen_A
  • On the right had side, select the 'send me a message' option.

If you could pop back to me with those details that would be fab!

Re: Damaged Cabinet Box

I'm not seeing anything that convinces me it's a VM cabinet ... loads of twisted pairs but no cable in sight.

Yes, that definitely looks like a BT cabinet.

Re: Damaged Cabinet Box

Hi Auletta77

Many thanks for getting back to me with your details

I have forwarded those to the Cabinet Teams.

Please allow up to 14 days for them to pick this up and deal with the issues. If after this time this is still not resolved then pop back to this thread so we can re-escalate this on your behalf.

Kind regards.

Re: Damaged Cabinet Box

Hi Auletta77

Thanks for getting back to me with those details Smiley Happy

The teams had come back to me later on, on the Friday we last spoke,  to ask if you could provide them for me so it's great we have them and they will now look to getting this resolved.

I will update you as soon as they get back to me.

@fatcontroller, thanks for dropping by on this thread with your post about the cabinet damage.

If you could pop a PM back to me with:

  • Your name and full address
  • Your phone number
  • The location of the cabinet in question

I can then raise this with the teams for you.

To PM me, simply:

  • Click on my profile link Karen_A
  • On the right had side, select the 'send me a message' option.

Thanks again and speak soon Smiley Very Happy

Re: Damaged Cabinet Box

Hi fatcontroller Smiley Happy

Thanks for getting back to me on your PM. Sadly the image didn't come through. If you want to give that another go that would be sweet! You can pop a pic on the main public forums here if you have no details in this that would identify location.

I've passed on the rest of your message to the teams and I'll add in the image if this pops through for us.

It can take the teams up to 14 days to pick these up, respond and resolve these issues for us.

Thanks again and catch you soon!
