Helpful Answers

Our Helpful Answers feature is a way for you to highlight a solution that has answered your question. It's a way to help people in the future who are looking for solutions to problems like yours and also thank the person who's helped you.

If you ask a question on the forum and get some replies, you'll see this option:

in the bottom right of each reply. As the author of the thread, you can click on this and set any reply as a Helpful Answer if it solves your problem. Then you'll see this at the bottom of your original post:

which shows that you've marked a Helpful Answer. Clicking on the link will take people directly to the Answer. Also when looking at the board view, this thread will have the green tick answered icon next to it.

If you do a Search on the forum, you'll also be able to see the Answered! icon if a post has a Helpful Answer.

Only the author of the post or a moderator can accept or revoke an answer. The Moderators will generally let members mark answers on their topics, but we might occasionally mark an answer as helpful for the benefit of future readers of the topic.

Kudos

Kudos is a way for you to give the thumbs up to a good question or a helpful and insightful answer. When you give Kudos to a message, you're not just pointing out good content, you're also giving it's author a pat on the back. It boosts the value of the message and the reputation of it's author on the forum.

You'll be able to see the Kudos symbol next to the Reply button on each post.

Just click on the star and you'll give someone a Kudo.

Kudos points are counted and displayed on the messagages themselves and on leaderboards for each part of the community. Also you'll be able to see all the Kudos you've recently recieved or given on your profile page.

In search results, messages with Kudos will tell you which messages are most likely to be helpful.

If you've accidentally given a Kudo when you didn't mean to, you can go to the Option drop-down menu in the top right-hand corner of the message and choose "Revoke my Kudos from this message".

Tagging

Tagging is a way to help other users discover interesting posts by adding keywords to them. It's also a way to organise content in the community that you think is related. When you apply tags to a post, you're providing another way for people to find it and you're also making it easier to find in the forum search.

You can add tags simply by clicking 'add tag' under a message. Then just type in your relevant keywords with a spaces in between them and press 'Add'.
