For the past 3 or 4 weeks our entire house hasn't been able to play a majority of games online without any issues. First of all, connecting to Xbox Live is near impossible unless I try at 3-4am, even then it is incredibly laggy and usually fails to connect to any content servers.
Secondly, games such as Starcraft 2, Fifa and Rift are unplayable. There is a constant stutter of lag every 1-2 seconds. Connecting to Skype has also become impossible.
Download speeds and upload speeds are fine, ranged from 6mb-15mb for download and 0.6-0.9 for upload. Problems are only encountered when connecting to Xbox Live or trying to play online games.
I've tried phoning support, and somehow they put the blame on Microsoft/Xbox even though the majority of these issues have 0 connection to Microsoft at all. Pure laziness and treating customers like idiots.
Also tried live support, they took a few ping tests, saved them and said they would contact us, they never did. Tried live support the following week, the person I spoke to then said the issue has been identified as a problem with Virgin, yet there is still no fix?
As far as I can tell, this all began around the time of the exchange upgrade.
Would really like this problem sorted out ASAP as 4 weeks without the service we're paying for is ridiculous.

Virgin admitted that its their problem. Not Microsoft or anyone else. So if Virgin staff tell you otherwise then you know its nonsence. I hear that some Virgin staff still blame Microsoft even though Virgin already admitted that its their fault. Thats just awful.

I don't see any miracles happening once you do so however...

Hi there, thank you for posting and voicing your queries concerning xbox live and playstation.
Our incident management team have officially raised a fault since 21st April regarding the login issues with playstation and xbox and it is still under investigation.
Please let me know if you are able to provide these via www.virginmedia.com/remote-chat and I can arrange a call to yourself to stage a fault ticket with these details.

Same here. 4 weeks without xbox live now. It's not just that either, anything that requires anysort of bandwidth outside of video streaming is useless. To top it off, there has been next to no support during the 4 weeks the porblem has been known.
Plus you can guarantee no one will be compinsated. Absolute joke.
In respinse to Lucy. This isn't just an xbox live and psn problem. It's affecting anything that requires port forwarding. I would of thought your tech team would be able to figure that out.

I manually stopped the trace because it just kept timing out.
I would give you the trace results on here but I don't know if that's safe. Can't use the support chat because I do not have the email and password because I live in a 6 person shared flat at Uni and the person who has the documents isn't here.
