Price Changes

[ Edited ]

As part of our on-going review of services, we’re making some changes to our cable pricing from April 1st to make sure we are continuing to provide the best home entertainment services to you.

We’re writing to customers affected now to explain how they will be affected throughout February so you should receive a letter soon detailing any changes that will be made to your monthly price.

To find out more go to virginmedia.com/changes.

Thanks

TiVo £5 price change

We know that there has been some confusion over the TiVo subscription price change, so we wanted to clarify how this will work. Whilst we reserve the right to review and change our prices to ensure we are able to continue to deliver leading products and services, we can confirm that customers that already have TiVo, or take TiVo before 28th February, will stay at £3 per month per box, and will not see an increase at the end of their 12m contract; only customers adding a new TiVo box from 28th February will pay £5 per month per box

Customers will continue to get up to 23 HD channels for no extra monthly fee with our TiVo box already activated to receive HD and 3D. Sky currently charge £10.25 per month for a HD enabled box. In addition, we've recently added Sky Anytime to our TV on Demand service, which is now available to all customers on all tariffs, and unlike with Sky, doesn't require an additional broadband service due to TiVo's built in broadband modem.

April Price Changes

As you know in January we announced that we are doubling the broadband speeds of our customers. The roll-out will take a year and a half and we, as all companies, introduce periodic price changes over time. There is no charge associated with the broadband upgrade, nor for any modems that might be needed to be swapped. Customers will be upgraded, before, during and after April 1st and once they have their broadband speeds boosted they will not see any increase in their bill related to their new speed.

We’re continually developing and improving our network for the future and have committed to an additional £110m this year for the roll-out. We’re always reviewing our pricing structure to ensure that we are delivering exceptional value to our customers.

100Mb price decrease

In addition to being upgraded to 120Mb we can now confirm that customers currently on 100Mb will see a price reduction on their bill from 1st April.
